Description

The interdisciplinary program in Globalization, Identity and Space is intended to promote students' awareness of the differences an similarities that characterize the world's increasingly interconnected communities. It is a cooperative endeavor of the Anthropology, Geography and Pan-African Studies departments. The program requires successful completion of at least 21 credit hours of coursework selected from the participating departments.

Admission Requirements

Admission to a minor is open to students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree, the A.A.B. or A.A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree (not Individualized Program major). Students enrolled only in the A.A. or A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree in Individualized Program may not declare a minor. Students may not pursue a minor and a major in the same discipline.

Students may petition to substitute a relevant course in some discipline other than Anthropology, Geography or Pan-African studies for one of the designated electives.
