Health Communication - Minor
School of Communication Studies
201 Taylor Hall
The Health Communication minor allows students pursuing health-related degrees (e.g., nursing, public health) to develop communication skills specific to health and health care contexts. Students can gain coursework in communicating about health in interpersonal and health care contexts, as well as coursework in processing and effects of various types of health messages, including those occurring via new media technologies.
The Health Communication minor can complement numerous health-related degrees and help students develop critically important health communication skills.
Fully Offered At:
- Kent Campus
Admission to a minor is open to students declared in a bachelor’s degree, the A.A.B. or A.A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree (not Individualized Program major).
