Description

The Associate of Technical Study degree in Radiologic Technology offers a completion program to graduates of certificate programs in radiologic technology. Kent State University awards college credit for the hospital-based program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification. the major articulates to Kent State's Bachelor of Radiologic and Imaging Sciences degree.

The Radiologic Technology major includes the following optional concentration:

  • Radiology Department Management Technology.

Admission Requirements

The university affirmatively strives to provide educational opportunities and access to students with varied backgrounds, those with special talents and adult students who graduated from high school three or more years ago.

Kent State campuses at Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark, Trumbull and Tuscarawas, and the Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg, have open enrollment admission for students who hold a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates of this program will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate oral and written communication skills after completion of English composition.
  2. Use math, science and computer skills in radiology.
  3. Improve patient care skills by completing humanity and social science courses.
  4. Complete requirements for the ATS degree to advance job skills.

University Requirements

All students in an applied or technical associate degree program at Kent State University must complete the following university requirements for graduation.
