MBA/MA Sport Administration
To create a dual masters degree program between MBA (both the Full-time MBA and the Online MBA) and MA in Sport Administration. The proposed Dual Degree program will combine the Core requirements of both degree programs. Core courses of each program will replace some of the elective courses or concentrations for the other.
Courses will be offered as they currently are in each area and no duplication issues are expected to arise.
The dual degree program will offer students the opportunity to earn both degrees in a shorter time than if taken separately.
There should be no negative impact on current programs because no new courses need to be developed and the number of students would be small, probably a maximum of 5 -10 each year. Classes currently offered in both programs can adsorb the additional students. No additional staffing needs are expected.
It should be applied to catalog copy for both the MBA [Full-time MBA (BU) and Online MBA (VBU)] in the College of Business Administration, and the M.A. in Sports Administration in the College of Education, Health and Human Services.
