Course covers the breadth of theatre history and historicism and application of theatre theory to practice by focusing on the six major stylistic periods: Greek and Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, Romanticism, Realism and Non Realism (symbolism, expressionism, surrealism, absurdism) and contemporary period (postmodernism, feminism and interculturalism, multiculturalism).
