Description
The Peace and Conflict Studies minor (formally called Applied Conflict Studies minor) gives students a solid background in the theory and skills of managing conflicts in constructive, not destructive ways. Students learn how to apply skills that are not only useful in a variety of workplace settings, but in everyday life and relationships as well.
The minor especially is beneficial for students with a major or interest in business, communication studies, criminology and justice studies, nursing, public health, psychology, political science and sociology. However, because the skills taught are life skills, this minor matches up well with many majors.
Fully Offered At:
- Kent Campus
Admission Requirements
Admission to a minor is open to students declared in a bachelor’s degree, the A.A.B. or A.A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree (not Individualized Program major). Students declared only in the A.A. or A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree in Individualized Program may not declare a minor. Students may not pursue a minor and a major in the same discipline.
