Description
The Computer-Aided Drafting/Design Technician undergraduate certificate allows students to quickly develop skills and hands-on experiences in drafting and Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) operation and the ability to pursue objectives in the face of limited resources. Graduates are prepared for positions as a drafter or CAD operator.
This certificate articulates well into an associate or bachelor's degree program in such technical areas as mechanical engineering technology, computer engineering technology and electrical engineering technology.
Admission Requirements
The university affirmatively strives to provide educational opportunities and access to students with varied backgrounds, those with special talents and adult students who graduated from high school three or more years ago.
Kent State campuses at Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark, Trumbull and Tuscarawas, and the Twinsburg Academic Center, have open enrollment admission for students who hold a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
