Admission Requirements
- Graduate standing at Kent State University
- Minimum 3.000 GPA on a 4.000-point scale
- Writing sample that demonstrates research skills
- Latin proficiency demonstrated through transcripts or placement tests if planning to take Latin (LAT) courses for the minor
Program Learning Outcomes
Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Engage in effective research using online and/or physical resources for classical studies.
- Identify the significance of major literary works, historical figures, artistic and archaeological remains and cultural structures.
- Demonstrate understanding of key concepts, theories and/or methodologies in the field of classics.
- Design and implement an independent research project pertaining to classical studies.
